Last year La Sansi, organizer of the race, managed 2 of the only 3 San Silvestres in Spain (San Silvestre del Masnou and Cursa dels Nassos), and the Cursa de la Mercè (the race with the most registrants in pandemic, a 3,000 total).

The Lloretrail is one of the races with the most registrations in Spain for months, and currently one of the few that will organize 2 editions in a pandemic.

Lloret de Mar, March 17, 2021.- Next Sunday April 11, La Sansi, with the collaboration of the Lloret de Mar City Council and the Girona Provincial Council, will organize the 2nd LloreTrail, a 5 and 13 km mountain race authorized
by the Catalan Athletics Federation, and the General Secretariat for Sport and Physical Activity. Last year in its 1st edition with 1,111 registered, it had to be postponed twice, in March and July, due to the pandemic, and finally, it was held in September after receiving all the favorable reports. Ana Garcia Castany, Lloret Sports Councilor, explains that "Lloret's commitment is to continue promoting sport and, in this sense, both private organizers and the public sector work to offer the maximum guarantees of safety". Jose Luis Blanco, organizer, explains that "The Lloretrail will meet the same requirements as the Cursa de la Mercè and Cursa dels Nassos, with all the mandatory safety and hygiene recommended by the health authorities;
last year it was the 1st race in Spain that presented an action plan for its organization validated by the Federation, and this year we will continue with safe protocols. The distances to be covered will be 13 kilometers
(700 m of unevenness) with departure at 08:30 a.m. and 5 kilometers (150 meters of unevenness) leaving at 11:00 am ". 1,000 registrants are expected, who will start from 4 to 4 for more than 3 hours, complying with the required safety distance at the time of the event, and will count the time of each participant since they pass through the timing mats
(Championchip) at the start until goal. Participants will enter a small interurban route and then they will continue making the first ascents and descents through a journey through different emblematic mountains of Lloret. A technical route with some ramps of about 40%. More information www.lloretrail.com Lloret@lasansi.com
