Ponle Freno Badalona Race Regulations 2023
The Ponle Freno Badalona Race is organized by Atresmedia, with the collaboration of the Badalona City Council and sponsored by the AXA Foundation.

The money raised from the inscriptions will go entirely to a project in favor of the victims of traffic accidents. All proceeds will go to the Game Over project of the Institut Guttmann, a hospital specializing in the medical-surgical treatment and comprehensive rehabilitation of people (adults, young people and children) with spinal cord injury, acquired brain damage or other disability of neurological origin.

Day and hour:

Sunday March 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

Route and distance:

Circuits of 5 and 10km and children. More information about the route will be provided soon in the official communication channels of the race.

children's races

The children's races will be held once the 5 and 10 km races have finished, at 11:30 a.m.

The details of the circuits will be published on the official website.


Registrations:

The registration fee is 5€ for distances of 5km and 10km, and 5€ for children's races. Registrations can be made on the website www.carrerasponlefreno.com. The registration period ends on 23 March at 2:00 p.m. or end of numbers.

Withdrawal of dorsal-chip and commemorative shirt

It will be delivered at the MONTIGALÁ Shopping Center on Friday 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. non-stop.
In no case can the material be withdrawn on the day of the race. If you cannot attend in person, another person can pick it up on your behalf by showing your registration and a receipt.
The sizes of the shirts will be delivered in strict order of collection of the bib-chip.

Disqualifications:

The medical service of the competition and the referees are empowered to remove during the test:

1. To any athlete who manifests poor physical condition.

2. To the athlete who does not complete the complete course.

3. To the athlete who manifests a non-sporting behavior.


Classifications:

-There will be a single joint classification, distinguishing male and female categories.

The maximum time to complete the test is 45 min for the 5 km race, and 1 hour and 15 for the 10 km. After this time, the runner who remains in the race must continue under his responsibility, respecting the traffic regulations.

-Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in the general classification (men and women).

HandBike: it is exclusive for those runners with a physical disability that prevents them from doing the race on foot, and in the distance of 10Km. It will not be a competitive category and these participants must adapt to the pace of the race, without being able to overtake the leading car in any case.

-Each runner will participate under his own responsibility, affirms having a sufficient level of physical condition to face the test and undertakes to strictly accept these regulations.

-Registration is personal and non-transferable and implies acceptance of these regulations. Under no circumstances, once the registration has been made, may the participation be transferred to another person, friend or family member due to not being able to attend on the day of the test.

-Runners who are not registered or run without a chip number will not be admitted, preventing them from having access to the race in defense of the rights of those who are legally registered.

-The only vehicles authorized to follow the test will be those designated by the organization. For security reasons it is totally forbidden to follow the runners by bicycle, motorcycle or any other vehicle. The local police and the organization of the test will remove them from the circuit to avoid incidents.

-Everything not foreseen in these regulations will be resolved according to the current regulations of the I.A.A.F.
