It will also host the Spanish Mountain Racing Championship- Absolute Trail Running, sub-23 and Master with a distance of 16 km and also the Spanish Mountain Racing Championship for promotion sub-20 and sub-18 of 6 km.

The tough circuit will surely attract outstanding elite athletes to be selected for the world championships, as it will be key in shaping the selection for the world championships.

There will also be an open test of 6 km and 16 km, which athletes of all levels can participate, with a limit of 1.000 inscriptions.

The decision of the venue was made at the RFEA Governing Board, in which the Delegate Commission approved the official 2023 calendar, with Lloretrail being the only absolute Spanish athletics championship to be held in Catalonia throughout 2023, and the first absolute to be held in Lloret de Mar.

The list of winners of the Lloretrail is adorned by international athletes such as Núria Gil, Miquel Corbera, Dmitrijs Serjogins, Jonathan Romeo, Mohamed El Ghazouani or Douae Ouboukir.

In 2020 it was the 1st race in times of Covid-19 that was authorized for its organization. In 2021 there was a great duel between Núria Gil, Anna Comet and Sheila Áviles, and in the 2022 edition the Catalan trail championship was held.
