Today the 8th race for ALS was held in Sant Adrià de Besòs, organized by La Sansi, with the collaboration of the Sant Adrià de Besòs City Council and Esportcat. One of the objectives is to raise awareness of the disease and raise funds for those affected by ALS, and Jordi Sabaté also participated.

With nearly 1,400 registered athletes, they met in Sant Adrià to participate in the different tests in the morning, including the 5 km race, the walk and the children's races.

Before the race, the mayor, Filo Cañete, together with councilors, gave a speech on the importance of spreading the word and fighting against this terrible disease, and then they participated in the walk.

The winner was the athlete Marc Fernández with 16:10, who joins the list of illustrious winners such as Janis Viskers, from Latvia; the Ethiopian Safidi; or the Moroccan Radoune Nour.

In women, the winner was Isabel Rubio with 20:37, who succeeds in the list of winners, among others, the Italian Giulia Rigodanza, the English Katherine Chaplin, Alba Espinales (Nicaragua) and Inna Lebedeva (Ukraine), winners of previous editions.

Part of the proceeds and 100% of the donations go to the Vall d’Hebron Hospital.
