The eighth edition of the popular race for ALS was held on June 1 in Sant Adrià de Besòs, with more than 1,300 registered, in a solidarity framework where Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) was disseminated.

A 5-kilometer race, a 3-kilometer walk, and 3 children's races were organized.

Today, at the Vall d'Hebron Hospital on a day as important as World ALS Day, the charity check collected in the race was handed over to research to find a cure.

The mayor of Sant Adrià de Besòs, Filo Cañete, the sports councilor Francisco Burgos and Jose Luís Blanco de La Sansi, have formalized the delivery of the charity check for €2,690 euros to Dr. Jose Manuel Vidal and Dra. Maria Salvadó, researchers from the Peripheral Nervous System research group at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR).

It should be noted that in the editions held of the race, more than 26,000 euros have been raised for research and the fight against ALS.
