The 8th 5-kilometer race for ALS in Sant Adrià de Besòs will be held next Sunday, June 1 at 9:30 a.m., with more than 1,300 registered participants.

The start and finish will be in front of Sant Adrià City Hall.

Despite the solidarity and popular nature of the race, top athletes will also participate, such as Marc Fernàndez, Catalan 5 km champion in route 2025, or Mar Juárez.

Some affected by ALS, such as Jordi Sabaté, will participate in the 3-kilometer solidarity walk, starting at 9:43 a.m.

Athletes from 15 other countries have registered, such as Argentina, Andorra, Colombia, Cuba, France, Ecuador, Italy, Egypt, Morocco, Ukraine, Moldova, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Romania and Turkey.

Finally, at 10:20 a.m. the adapted race and children's races will begin.

All donations and part of the proceeds from the race will go towards research to find a cure for ALS at the Vall d’Hebron Hospital.
